About Julie Adams Beauty

I qualified as a Beauty, Massage and Sports Therapist in 1993. I have gained valuable work experience all over the country, on cruise liners and have over 25 years experience in the industry. I offer a one to one, private and confidential service, clients will generally only need to contact myself for appointments and queries.

From a nursing background, I work with a caring nature and like to treat every client individually and as a whole person. I work in a holistic manner as well as offering a wide range of advanced beauty and skin treatments.

I have been trading in Ashburton since 2001 and owned Bijoux Beauty, 22 West Street, Ashburton for 10 years, I have merged with The Haven Health Clinic at 24 West Street, Ashburton who I have worked next to to for the past 10 years, plus visiting practioner in other clinics in the Teignbridge area. Its great to be working in collaboration with other like minded therapists, beauty therapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, bowen technique therapists, sports therapists, osteopaths, counsellors, healers, and aesthetic practitioners, and keep up to date with treatments being offered. We are all connected and if there is something I can't help with then I will know someone who can.

I specialise in massage, skin-care, hair removal, advanced electrolysis, skin tag, red vein, milia, blood spot, wart removal, ear piercing, skin peels, foot care, ipl (laser) hair reduction and facial rejuvenation

I use Dermalogica skin care products, OPI and Shellac polish.

How information is collected and used.

Any personal information stored is held for my own information and revisited for future appointments. Your information is not shared with anybody else.

I collect information about you when you book an appointment for a treatment, whether contact is online, on paper, by email or over the phone.

The information you give me may include your name, address, email address, phone number, relevant history which may suggest that a treatment should not go ahead or certain products should not be used (e.g. allergies, pregnancy, skin conditions).

For clients under the age of 16, I will only keep and use their personal information with the consent of a parent, carer or guardian.

In law, I am allowed to use personal information, including sharing it outside the salon, only if I have a proper reason to do so, for example, to fulfil a contract with you i.e. to provide the service or treatment you have requested and to communicate with you about your appointments or when it is in my legitimate interest i.e. there is a business or commercial reason to do so, if I need to cancel an appointment or remind you about an appointment, unless this is outweighed by your rights or interests. When you consent to it, I will always ask for your consent to hold and use health and medical information for business use.
